Lost every car key? We make a new one on site
Dropped somewhere on the trail, left on a bench, gone. When you’ve lost every key and there’s no spare, we come to the car, open it if needed, and make a new key from scratch.
How an all-keys-lost job works
- We confirm the vehicle and verify you own it
- We open the vehicle if it’s locked
- We cut a new key to match your locks
- We program the key to the vehicle’s immobilizer and test it
Lost your keys on a hike?
It happens more than you’d think at Mount Si, Little Si, Rattlesnake Ledge and Twin Falls. Before you call, check with the trailhead’s other hikers and look back along the last stretch you walked. If the keys are gone, tell us which lot you’re parked in. Cell coverage can be spotty at some trailheads, so if you walk to better signal, give us the trailhead name and parking area.
Make a spare while we’re there
Once a new key is programmed, adding a second one is usually much simpler than starting from zero again. See spare car keys.
Questions about lost all car keys
What can I do if I lost my car key and have no spare?
Call a mobile automotive locksmith. For most vehicles we can make and program a new key on site without towing the car.
Will the lost key still start my car?
For many vehicles we can remove lost keys from the car’s memory when we program the new one, so the old key won’t start it. Ask us about this for your vehicle.
